2 pounds chickpeas
3 quarts water
2 cloves garlic, finely chopped
3 medium onions, finely chopped
2 cups peeled, chopped tomatoes, drained
½ cup parsley
½ teaspoon cumin
Salt and freshly ground pepper
1. Soak chickpeas in water over night.
2. Drain and place in a dutch oven or heavy pot.
3. Add water, bring to a boil.
4. Add garlic, onion, tomatoes, parsley, cumin, salt and pepper.
5. Simmer for about 3 ½ hours.
6. Serve and add 1 tablespoon of Pika Sauce to each serving.
